Introduction

Beyond MP4 and TS, VASTreaming provides readers and writers for additional media file formats. Each integrates directly into the streaming pipeline—use them as sources for publishing, destinations for recording, or building blocks in media processing workflows.

MP3

Read and write MP3 files as drop-in audio sources or recording destinations. MP1 (MPEG-1 Layer 1) and MP2 (MPEG-1 Layer 2) formats are also supported.

WAV

Read WAV files as uncompressed audio sources. Ideal for high-fidelity input in encoding, mixing, and transcoding pipelines.

FLV

Write FLV files for legacy compatibility. Pairs with RTMP workflows where FLV recording is required.
